RESEARCH

COMPETITIVE
ANALYSIS
I started the process with research and looking at different products that are doing similar things. There weren't that many which focused exactly on what I wanted to do but there were enough to learn what is possible. After looking at these examples I decided on what I should and what I shouldn't do with this product.

SITEMAP &
USER JOURNEYS
After looking at competitors, I wrote down all the goals of this product and divided them into sections for the sitemap. Not all these sections ended up being on the product but it was a good way to organize my thoughts. This then led me to create user journeys for two possible users.
PROCESS

SKETCHES
I created rough sketches to put down and brain-map how pages could look like. This helped me generate new ideas on what goes where.

WIREFRAMES
I turned my low fidelity sketches digital and added more solid placements and typography to make it medium fidelity and prepared my designs to be tested which explains all the orange arrows.

USER
TESTING
After the low to medium-fidelity wireframes, I did a user testing with four people which guided my future designs for this product. Overall, there weren't many issues and most tasks were completed in one or two tries so there weren't too many technical elements to change or consider.

BRAND ELEMENTS
Most of the branding elements are also shared with the other part of this project but overall my goal was creating something that is earthy and fresh while avoiding the classic blues and greens used in grocery related products. The typography is a mix of transitional serif and modern sans serif which combines organic with fresh in a way. Also, these fonts are easily accessible at google fonts.

APP ICON STUDIES
After deciding on icons, I looked back at my app icon sketches and brought them into life.
